Ive quickly determined this is quite an oasis for the donk community. Along with the bro truck community coming in a close second place. The stance dudes are getting left in the dust! They are around, but not in the numbers the donks and bros. They are far fewer in numbers than what ive seen on the east coast... at least so far.
Good news is motorcycles seem to be more than alive and well down here. People are regularly riding in the winter. Which I did myself not that long ago.
And one more thing i love about living in the south. (Aside from sweet tea and bbq)
My snow shovel is collecting dust. Lots and lots of dust! My back and soul are happy.
Anyways, i havent been around here much. I started my new job in memphis the beginning of this month and have picked up pretty much full time hours at ~40 a week, which is great! and a 30 minute commute, which isnt terrible honestly. But i dont have much time for internet posting like my last job allowed for. I guess we all grow up and into different things.
Ill make sure i get a pic of my lude on beale street at some point. It will be a quick tag and bag mission cause i dont wanna spend a lot of time down town...
I hope all is well for the rest my fellow opponauts.

It comes in handy when flooding occurs... So they have an excuse... sorta. I wonder if their wheels double as paddle wheels like river boats? hmmmm they might be on to something..

I love Memphis. Great town. Now I want some Gus's Fried Chicken, and I'm only, oh, 650 miles or so away...

Have you figured out the side streets for when the interstate is all backed up, yet?
Also, what part of town are you living in? I can connect you with my father and his police & automotive friends for any emergencies or whatnot.

Why Memphis? (Just Curious) What's the gig? I went there for College & Grad school and it was pretty much FEDEX town + Casinos at the South bringing all the jobs. Lots of transportation jobs and also medical jobs as well. I need to go back one of these days.
Ya, donks there have a looong legacy (early 90's) I lived near the Eastridge mall and then moved to Whitehaven very close to Graceland (AKA Blackhaven) and I bet you will see some interesting car stuff.
Awesome BBQ, Memphis in May, Beale street, Libertyland and the um..establishments near Airport Boulevard... Elvis reigns supreme all over Memphis like he never left and now probably a bigger city with NBA team and a much more improved MSU basketball program (to date myself, I saw Penny Hardaway playing college b-ball and saw Michael Jordan play baseball in that weird walk-away year of his and saw Peyton Manning's college moves when he won the Heisman)

Kinda. I dont even use the interstate to go to work, i take the parrallel 70/summer into memphis. Its got lights but no cops (well, none that trap speed anyways), no traffic, and its straight as an arrow.
Im in the lakeland arlington part.

Family moved down here. Still in the process of figuring out a degree and commuting to school. Im not enrolled currently, but i gotta save up to go back and finish a bachelors, since i have an associates currently. Possibly gonna do University of memphis... Have to wait 6 months for the residency requirement i think anyways. But for now im gonna work, and get accustomed to life in this new city.
I dont quite get the obsessions with the basketball, elvis, and other peculiar things. Then again i never understood similar things like the love for bonjovi everyone in nj had either. Call me weird haha, but the bug never got me with that stuff. I do however enjoy this bbq lifestyle to the fullest.

That is my fathers area, as well.
